About The World She Made
I wanted a place
for women like me.
Women who have built real lives—often largely through their own effort—and who are still becoming.
A full life does not require a traditional blueprint.
I created The World She Made because so much of the world still speaks as though a woman’s life is built around marriage and motherhood—or as though independence means she must never feel lonely, tired, uncertain, or in need of care.
Neither story feels true to me.
My own life contains work I care about, a home I maintain, animals I love, music and creativity, complicated relationships, practical worries, big plans, and small moments that bring me back to myself. It is full. And sometimes, it is heavy to hold alone.
I wanted a place spacious enough for both truths: the pride of building a life of your own, and the very human desire for that life to hold you, too.
This is not
A pitying story about women alone.
A glossy performance of invulnerability.
A rejection of love, partnership, motherhood, or conventional lives.
It is a place for the life you are actually living.
What we believe
Independence and care can coexist.
Needing support does not erase capability. Wanting connection does not make an independent life incomplete.
Pleasure is part of the structure.
Creativity, animals, beauty, rest, learning, and delight are not rewards after the practical work is finished.
Becoming has no deadline.
We are allowed to change direction, rebuild, want more, soften, begin again, and become someone we did not predict.

The World She Made will hold honest essays, practical tools, conversations with women building unconventional lives, and small glimmers that remind us life is not only something to manage.
